midl began with a simple goal, to create hair accessories that truly care for your hair.

For years, I straightened my naturally curly hair every day. When COVID came. I decided it was time to embrace my curls and focus on repairing the damage years of heat styling had caused.

As I began my healthy hair journey, I tried countless hair accessories made from silk, satin, and other fabrics. Time and time again, I was disappointed. The elastic was often too thin and quickly lost its stretch, the sizing wasn't quite right, too tight or they simply weren't comfortable to wear.

So, I decided to create my own.

I spent months researching fabrics, comparing silk suppliers, and testing different types of elastic. I found that elastic that was too tight often caused headaches, while elastic that was too loose wouldn't stay in place.

After plenty of testing, I chose premium 100% mulberry silk paired with thicker, high-quality elastic that is gentle and not too tight on your hair while providing a secure, comfortable hold throughout the day.

Every midl piece is thoughtfully designed with the same care and attention I wanted for my own hair.

My hope is that each accessory helps you embrace your natural hair, feel confident and add a little goodness to your everyday routine.
